THE GOSSIPERS
There’s something deeply human about this scene. Two ravens, facing each other, mid-conversation. One speaks, the other listens — or perhaps they answer one another, just as we do. Set against a clean white background, their exchange becomes everything. What remains is the voice, the presence, the moment. At the heart of the piece, a mesh recovered from a fire pit acts like an invisible wave — a way of representing the vibrations of their voices, as if the conversation itself were taking shape between them. The work is framed with recycled driftwood and a metal element taken from my grandmother’s trunk. Materials rich with history, reassembled through a modern approach. The Gossipers speaks to our exchanges, our silences, and that universal need to communicate — whether human… or not.
